Participation Fee for Sip, Savor, & Swirl Student Workshop and Performance

Participation Fee for Sip, Savor, & Swirl Student Workshop and Performance

$275.00

Nacre Dance Group is looking for dancers (ages 13 and up) to participate in an exciting program at the Universal Preservation Hall on August 3rd at 7:30pm.

Beth Fecteau is producing a wine tasting/pairing show called "Sip, Savor and Swirl" for Nacre's annual "So, You Think You Can Choreograph?" event where the audience votes for their favorite choreographer to be "crowned" Nacre's 2025 guest choreographer. This season, 6 guest choreographers will be creating pieces to wine varietals.

To end the evening, Beth Fecteau will be restaging an Isadora Duncan piece called "Bacchanal" which celebrates Bacchus - the God of Wine and she will be creating a new work to open the evening inspired by the tradition of “wine stomping” formerly known as “treading."  Beth wanted to share the premise for this show and enforce that there will be no consumption of wine that involves the students. The students will be opening and closing the performance. For audience members who do not wish to sample the wines, seats for just the performance will also be available.

Rehearsals will be intensive during the week of 7/29-8/2 from 10 am - 3 pm at Saratoga City Ballet studios. Since this is a short rehearsal period, dancers must be available for the entire week. The performance is on Saturday, 8/3 at 7:30 and the dress rehearsal will take place during that same day.

If you are interested in dancing, please complete this form by May 30th. There will be a 275.00 participation fee for the week.
