ANNOUNCEMENT OF CHOREOGRAPHERS!
Nacre Dance Group is pleased to announce the selected choreographers for “Sip, Savor, & Swirl” at the Universal Preservation Hall in Saratoga Springs, NY at 7:30 p.m. The following choreographers are ready to uncork their creativity and bring wines from France, Austria, Chile, Oregon, Italy, and Portugal to life on stage: Michaela Curcio, Emma Elsmo, Emma Gordon, Kelly Guerrero, Anna Mayta, and Natalia Sanchez. Cheers to innovation and artistic expression! The winner will be crowned Nacre Dance Group’s guest choreographer for the 2025 season! Stay tuned for ticket information.
CALL FOR DANCERS!
Nacre Dance Group is looking for dancers (ages 13 and up) to perform at “Sip, Savor, and Swirl” at the Universal Preservation Hall on August 3rd at 7:30pm.
The dancers will participate in two pieces. One will be inspired by the tradition of “wine stomping” formerly known as “treading." The other piece will be a restaging of Isadora Duncan’s "Bacchanal" which celebrates Bacchus - the God of Wine. There will be no consumption of wine that involves the students.
Rehearsals will be intensive during the week of 7/29-8/2 from 10 am - 3 pm at Saratoga City Ballet studios. Since this is a short rehearsal period, dancers must be available for the entire week.
The performance is on Saturday, 8/3 at 7:30 and the dress rehearsal will take place during that same day.
